Unfortunately, one also notices the garbage on the sides of the streets and in alleys in some regions.
Through various campaigns in the media, it has become somewhat better in recent years. Also through the sale of reusable cloth bags instead of plastic.The important environmental awareness and e.g. the topic of recycling is still in its infancy here.
When it rains the streets are cleaned by the water masses on the one hand, but on the other hand the rivers wash the dirt and garbage then into the sea.
Thus one sees the "civilization garbage" not only on the beaches of Panama.
However, this is not only a problem in Panama, but a big global problem.
